Parent, Child & State
This course will examine the legal rights of parents and children in a constitutional framework, as well as the state's authority to define and regulate the parent-child relationship. Particular attention will be paid to the child welfare system as well as the definitional challenges posed by non-traditional families and assisted reproductive technology. The course complements, and does not duplicate, Family Law.Credits: 3
