Patent Litigation
The course covers all aspects of patent litigation from pre-filing considerations to appeal and is designed to address problems that arise in real-world lawsuits. Particular attention is devoted to initial pleadings, discovery, motion practice, and the use of technical experts at trial. The role of juries in patent litigation is also discussed, including the recent advent of so-called Markman Hearings. Lastly practical trial preparation techniques, trial practice, and the law of remedies will be explored.Credits: 2
