Investment Banking
From the perspective of a legal department of a multifaceted investment-banking firm the course will deal with regulatory and ethical concerns which arise from corporate finance services. The underwriting and securities distribution process and the rendering of opinions and valuations will be considered. The class will be made familiar with the major sections of a corporate finance department and their relation with counsel. This course is divided into two sections. The first section discusses legal and political history. The second section examines contemporary legal problems.Credits: 2
