Real Estate Conveyancing and TransactionsThis course uses a transactional approach to examine the acquisition and disposition of real property. Topics will include purchase and sale agreements for commercial, residential and other property types, options, rights and remedies of sellers and purchasers, dealing with brokers, title insurance and due diligence activities. Attention will also be given to underlying fundamentals of investing in and owning real estate, ownership vehicles and relevant financing issues. Students will analyze and negotiate purchase and sale agreements and joint venture documentation and prepare for and conduct the closing of title.
