Abby Hernandez Office Manager (Public Interest Resource Center) Tel. 212.636.6952 Mailing Address: Fordham University School of Law 140 West 62nd Street New York, NY 10023 Abby Hernandez is the Office Manager for the Public Interest Resource Center (PIRC) at Fordham University School of Law. She has worked at the PIRC since June, 2000 and serves as a liaison between PIRC and all other administrative offices and public interest student organizations. She should be contacted for general information about PIRC, to schedule appointments with the PIRC Directors and the Assistant Dean, and for any technical assistance requests or budget issues from PIRC student groups. Abby’s history with Fordham goes back to 1994 when she first joined the S.T.E.P. (Science and Technology Entry Program) program during her junior and senior year in high school. In 1996 she enrolled at Fordham College Rose Hill (FCRH) and received a Bachelor of Science with a double major in Psychology and Sociology in May of 2000. While at FCRH she was a PSI CHI (Psychology Honor Society) Member and Chapter Officer as well as an Alpha Kappa Delta (Sociology Honor Society) Member and Treasurer & Chair of the Programming Committee for the Psychology Society at Rose Hill in its beginning years. During her senior year she assisted in putting together Fordham’s first Culture & Psychology Lecture Series for which the Psychology Society received a Programming Award for Outstanding Lecture. While pursuing her Bachelors, Abby worked part-time with the Sociology Department at Fordham University’s Rose Hill campus for 3 years and worked 1 year with Rose Hill’s Career Planning & Office of Disability Services providing services to Fordham students with learning and physical disabilities. She currently has her Masters degree in Adult Education and Human Resource Development with a concentration in Continuing Higher Education which she obtained at Fordham University’s Graduate School of Education at Lincoln Center, May 16th, 2009 and serves as a volunteer with the Coalition for Debtor Education.
