Online Public Service Practice Area ResourcesWe have developed this list of online (and a few print) resources to help you explore a range of different practice areas commonly associated with public interest law. We link to career guides that contain generally an overview of such practice areas, and often include lists of relevant organizations and agencies, job search and career building tips, and also may include interviews with practitioners. We also list some bar associations and their committees that are involved in the work.Note on bar associations: While we link primarily to sections and committees of the American Bar Association and New York State Bar Association, we encourage you--depending upon your preferences--to look at other states' bar associations, county or city bar associations, specialized associations within practice areas, associations of lawyers of color, national origin, and sexual preference. This list is by no means comprehensive. Think of it as a start to your investigation into opportunities or careers in areas that interest you. These materials compliment the databases maintained by PSLawNet.org, which are excellent tools to identify particular organizations and agencies by practice area. You are also welcome to suggest additions to our links by emailing us at PIRC@law.fordham.edu. Fordham Law School's Public Interest Resource Center would like to thank the authors and institutions who created the materials listed (credited with each link) for making their resources publically available. The public interest community is a generous and collaborative one!
