Indigenous Alliance

The vibrant and complex subject of American Indian law is a crucial component to a complete legal education. There is a great cross section between American Indian Law and various legal principles concerning Property law, Alternate Dispute Resolution, International law, Economic Development, Family law, and Environmental law. It is vital that students be given the opportunity to obtain further exposure to this field. This student group provides Fordham students with an opportunity to engage in legal issues within indigenous communities. This year we contributed to the effort to bring a Native American law class to Fordham and we hosted a field trip to the American Indian Museum and a film screening.
