Uncontested Divorce Project

The Uncontested Divorce Project is a program that trains law students to prepare an uncontested divorce for victims of domestic violence. Students who participate in the Divorce Project work under the supervision of an attorney from Sanctuary for Families, The Center for Battered Women's Legal Services.

Students are assigned divorce cases and perform each stage of the process to attain a divorce for the client. The students conduct interviews with the client, and prepare and file documents in New York County Supreme Court.
