Community Service Project Fair (September 2005)

The Community Service Project is a group of Fordham Law Students partipating in a broad array of service-oriented activities at school and in the New York City. We organize a number of annual events for the law school community, and are always looking for new ways to get ourselves out there.
“CSP allows me to be a catalyst for people to get involved”. It’s a nice balance to all the schoolwork I do” Kristin Heinsch, ‘06

Some highlights of our work:

Fall Public Service Activity Fair: CSP brings together Fordham’s public interest student groups and community-based organizations school to introduce students to the ways they can get involved in public service and volunteer work.

Blood Drives: “Donating blood is literally giving the gift of life” and CSP partners with the New York Blood Center for blood drives within the law school for students, faculty and staff.

Thanksgiving food drive: We collect food every November for hungry New Yorkers and partner with the Food Bank for New York City

Angel Tree Toy Drive. CSP collects gifts of toys, clothes and other necessities for needy children and families during the December holidays.

Study-a-Thon: Through this project students secure sponsors for the hours they study for exams which is turned into a fundraiser to benefit educational programs for child laborers.
