Cap and Gown Orders & DistributionGraduates must order their cap and gown online from Herff Jones at www.herffjones.com/college/fordhamYou will receive an email when the site is open. The deadline for ordering your cap and gown is Friday, March 22, 2013. Cap and Gown Distribution for Law Students: Thursday, April 25, 2013 from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. in the Platt Atrium Graduates may send someone else to pick up apparel as long as they have your written permission along with your online order confirmation form. Late orders: If you do not order by the deadline, extra apparel will be available at the distribution site listed above on a first come, first served basis only and cannot be guaranteed. An $8 (cash only) late fee will be charged. Ticket and Invitation DistributionEach graduate will receive at least 7 (seven) tickets to the Diploma Ceremony. Graduating students do not require a ticket. Each graduate will also receive formal invitations that can be sent to family and friends to announce your graduation from the Law School. These invitations cannot be used for entrance to the Diploma Ceremony.Tickets will only be released to graduates if the following conditions are met: (1) Graduation Audit - submitted to the Registrar's Office (Room 10, Garden Level); (2) No Financial Aid, Registrar or Library "holds" on your account; (3) Cap and Gown order must be processed; (4) New York State Bar Examination Writing Sample Form - submitted to the Registrar's Office (see instructions below); and (5) Graduate Employment Survey - submitted to the Career Planning Center (Instructions will be forthcoming). Your tickets should be placed in a secure place because lost tickets are not replaceable. The sale or purchase of these tickets is a violation of the Law School's ethical standards and is prohibited. Furthermore, the sale of tickets falls outside the scope of the agreement signed between Radio City Productions and Fordham University and is likewise prohibited by law. Requesting Additional Tickets: If you do not need all your tickets, you are urged to give them to a fellow classmate or to return them to the Office of Student Affairs (Room 06, Garden Level), so that they can be provided to graduates in need of extra tickets. You will be able to sign up for extra tickets in the Office of Student Affairs during the week of ticket distribution. The number of extra tickets is subject to availability and determined at a later date. There is no guarantee that a request for extra tickets will be completely honored or satisfied. Ticket Distribution Schedule: Bar ExaminationsIf you are planning to take the New York State Bar Exam, you must also complete a Writing Sample Form in order to receive Diploma Ceremony tickets. A staff member from the Registrar's Office will have the form available for you to complete when you come to pick up your tickets.Graduates are reminded that they are responsible for meeting the registration and exam deadlines and other requirements for the particular Bar for which they are seeking admissions. Graduate Employment SurveyGraduates are required to complete the Graduate Employment Survey in order to receive your graduation tickets. The survey form contains an instruction sheet to assist you in completing the survey.Completing the survey prior to your arrival to pick up your tickets will help speed you through the ticket pick-up process. A representative of the CPC will be at the Graduate Ticket Distribution for you to give your completed survey. Please note: individual information reported on the survey will be kept confidential and will be used solely to compile aggregate data that the CPC and Fordham Law are obliged to collect. Alumni ParticipationAny graduating J.D. or LL.M. student whose parent(s) or grandparent(s) is/are alumni/alumnae of the Law School may receive their diploma at the Diploma Ceremony from that family member. These alums will process into Radio City Music Hall before the faculty and do not need a ticket to the Diploma Ceremony.If your parent(s) or grandparent(s) plan to paricipate in the Diplomca Ceremony, they must contact the Office of Alumni Affairs (Room 123) by April 26, 2013.
