Cap and Gown Distribution for Law Students:
Thursday, April 25, 2013 from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. in the Platt Atrium
Graduates may send someone else to pick up apparel as long as they have your written permission along with your online order confirmation form.
Late orders: If you do not order by the deadline, extra apparel will be available at the distribution site listed above on a first come, first served basis only and cannot be guaranteed. An $8 (cash only) late fee will be charged.
Ticket and Invitation DistributionEach graduate will receive at least 7 (seven) tickets to the Diploma Ceremony. Graduating students do not require a ticket. Each graduate will also receive formal invitations that can be sent to family and friends to announce your graduation from the Law School. These invitations cannot be used for entrance to the Diploma Ceremony.
Tickets will only be released to graduates if the following conditions are met:
(1) Graduation Audit - submitted to the Registrar's Office (Room 10, Garden Level);
(2) No Financial Aid, Registrar or Library "holds" on your account;
(3) Cap and Gown order must be processed;
(4) New York State Bar Examination Writing Sample Form - submitted to the Registrar's Office (see instructions below); and
(5) Graduate Employment Survey - submitted to the Career Planning Center (Instructions will be forthcoming).
Your tickets should be placed in a secure place because lost tickets are not replaceable. The sale or purchase of these tickets is a violation of the Law School's ethical standards and is prohibited. Furthermore, the sale of tickets falls outside the scope of the agreement signed between Radio City Productions and Fordham University and is likewise prohibited by law.
Requesting Additional Tickets: If you do not need all your tickets, you are urged to give them to a fellow classmate or to return them to the Office of Student Affairs (Room 06, Garden Level), so that they can be provided to graduates in need of extra tickets. You will be able to sign up for extra tickets in the Office of Student Affairs during the week of ticket distribution. The number of extra tickets is subject to availability and determined at a later date. There is no guarantee that a request for extra tickets will be completely honored or satisfied.
Ticket Distribution Schedule:
Bar ExaminationsIf you are planning to take the New York State Bar Exam, you must also complete a Writing Sample Form in order to receive Diploma Ceremony tickets. A staff member from the Registrar's Office will have the form available for you to complete when you come to pick up your tickets.
