Justice Kennedy Visits Fordham Law, Accepting IHJR InviteOctober 30, 2007
Associate Justice of the U.S. Supreme Court Anthony McLeod Kennedy visited Fordham Law on October 13 upon the invitation of Fordham Law's William Hughes Mulligan Chair in International Legal Studies Justice Richard J. Goldstone for the annual Institute for Historical Justice and Reconciliation (IHJR) meeting.
"I chair an advisory committee for the IHJR. Justice Kennedy recently accepted my invitation to join the Board. We held the 2007 annual meeting at Fordham," Goldstone said.
Also in attendance were Chairman of the Ad Hoc Committee on the Scope of Legal Protection under the Convention on the Safety of United Nations and Associated Personnel Prince Zeid Ra'ad Zeid Al-Hussein, Executive director of the International Bar Association Mark Ellis, and President of the International Center for Transitional Justice Alex Boraine, and Fordham Law Dean and Paul Fuller Chair of Law William Michael Treanor.
The Institute for Historical Justice and Reconciliation (IHJR) works with educational and public policy institutions to organize and sponsor historical discourses in pursuit of accountability, acknowledgement, and the resolution of historical disputes. The Institute for Historical Justice and Reconciliation (IHJR) is a project of the Salzburg Seminar.
