Dispute Resolution Society Wins 4th Place at ABA Regional Negotiation CompetitionJanuary 30, 2013
The Dispute Resolution Society took fourth place at the ABA Negotiation Competition in Hamden, Connecticut, on January 21, 2013.
The Society was represented by Michael Andreou '14, Troy McNamara '14, Grace Lee '14, Anna Makatche '14, Anthony Finizio '14, and Charles Glover '14. Andreou and McNamara advanced to the final round with a perfect score.
"I am extremely proud of all our competitors," said team coach Alex Paulenoff '13. "I am certain that the skills they developed during months of training and hard work will translate into practical successes throughout their careers."
Team members were also supported by Professors Jacqueline Nolan-Haley, Beth Schwartz, Peggy Leibowitz, and Deborah Shapiro. Society Chairperson Rob Sanzillo '13, Managing Editor Caroline Billet '13, and Competitions Editor Julia Belagorudsky '13 provided the team with valuable assistance throughout their preparation. After the competition, Professors Leibowitz and Shapiro congratulated the students: "Our teams were the smartest and best prepared at the competition."
