University Mourns Construction Worker

Fordham University has learned that Anastassios Intezyiannis, a worker at the construction site for Fordham’s new law school and residence hall at the Lincoln Center campus, died in the hospital on Thursday, July 26. Intezyiannis was injured in a fall on Monday, July 16.

"I cannot imagine the grief that Mr. Intezyiannis family and loved ones must be feeling," said Joseph M. McShane, S.J., president of Fordham. "The University community has Mr. Intezyiannis and his family and friends in our thoughts and prayers today."

Fordham will hold a memorial service for Mr. Intezyiannis in the near future, details of which will be published on the University home page, as will information about condolences and funeral services, if and when it becomes available.
