Santorum pinning hope on religious conservativesAbner Greene on CBS, February 27, 2012
On the eve of the Arizona and Michigan primaries, Rick Santorum argued that the practice of religion is under attack in this country, and that the government and increasingly secular colleges and universities are leading the charge.
Professor Abner Greene appears in the video at 2:04, commenting on the constitutionality Santorum’s position. Green says, “Religious people and religious leaders have every right of freedom of speech as the rest of us. If, however, he means that religious institutions should be able to have some formal role in governance, in legislating or regulating, then that’s definitely wrong.”
