Fordham Law Professor Deborah Denno was interviewed on Radio Health Journal regarding the introduction of brain scans in court to determine the mental state of a person being tried for murder.

Professor Denno explains, "This doesn't comport with science or what we think of the human brain. It's not something that's either good or bad or in control or not in control. There are variations in states. The criminal law should reflect that in terms of levels of culpability."
