Fordham Law Announces New Prosecution Clinic

November 24, 2009

Fordham Law School has partnered with Queens District Attorney Richard Brown to offer a Prosecution Clinic beginning in the spring semester. The clinic will be led by Fordham Law alumnus and Assistant District Attorney Kevin Duddy ’85, Director of Trial Advocacy for the Office of the Queens DA.

The clinic will offer students the opportunity to prosecute misdemeanor and violation cases in Queens Criminal Court. Students will handle all aspects of criminal prosecutions.

“The Prosecution Clinic will be a fascinating and demanding opportunity for our students to engage in all facets of prosecutorial work,” said Professor Ian Weinstein, Director of Clinical Education.

With the addition of the Prosecution Clinic, Fordham Law students will be able to choose from among 15 clinical practice areas, in addition to many other opportunities for experiential learning in field placements and simulation courses.
