Moot Court Team Wins Award at National Competition

Fordham Law Moot Court Team members Alyssa Beaver ‘11 and Jenna Newmark ’11 won Best Petitioner's Brief at the 2009 University of San Diego National Criminal Procedure Tournament. The tournament, held November 5 – 7, included forty teams from law schools across the nation, including Stanford, Cardozo, Boston College, and South Texas.

“Fordham Law’s moot court seaso n has begun with a flourish,” said Professor Maria L. Marcus, coach to Fordham's inter-school moot court program. “The team members demonstrated their superior writing abilities in this large tournament.”
