"The Relevance of Religion to a Lawyer's Work: An Interfaith Conference," was the Center's first major conference on this subject.

Over the course of three days, lawyers, legal academics, clergy and theologians produced an agenda for scholarship, teaching, congregational programs, and bar activities related to the role of religion in a lawyer's work. Professor Thomas L. Shaffer gave a keynote address. The proceedings, including a foreword* by Prof. Russell Pearce, were published in 66 Fordham Law Reveiew, No. 4, the law review's fourth annual special ethics book.
