
LL.M. ProgramThe LL.M. Legal Writing Program offers courses for graduate students designed to meet the specialized needs of foreign-trained lawyers. Students must take a basic writing course and may also enroll in a specialized elective course during the second semester.In this course for foreign-trained LL.M. students, students learn analytical, writing, and research skills. The course covers principles of legal reasoning, basic strategies of legal research, and techniques for drafting legal documents, such as office memoranda. The course also provides an initial exposure to lawyering skills, such as client interviewing.
