Housing

The Institute has reserved 20 double-occupancy rooms at a serviced residence in a safe neighborhood at a rate of $700 per person for the duration of the academic program from June 23 – July 7. Each room includes two single beds, free internet, a fully equipped kitchen, bathroom, and washer/dryer. The hotel is a 20-minute bus ride to campus, and a five to seven minute walk to four different subway lines. The hotel rate also includes weekly maid service. For those who prefer other housing options, the Institute can provide information upon request.
The Institute will also provide information to students on how and where to obtain housing close to the SKKU campus. Please note: we very strongly urge students to locate housing before arriving in Seoul. Housing assignment information will be sent to admitted applicants who request housing by mid-April, 2013.

Access To Facilities For Persons With Disabilities

Most cities in Asia, including Seoul, are not as handicapped-accessible as U.S. cities. On campus, access for persons with disabilities to classrooms, offices, and other facilities is limited. Persons with questions about their circumstances should contact Leighanne Yuh, the Program Coordinator.

Overall Cost Of Living Estimate

In addition to tuition (US $3,600) and fees, students are responsible for the cost of their own transportation to and from Seoul, housing, meals, and other related expenses in Seoul.
Although the total cost of participating in the academic portion of the program will vary given the world-wide range of participants, we would estimate that the additional costs of food, living expenses and travel for Institute participants from North America will average $40 per day or $2,040 for the entire program.
