Study abroad in two of Europe’s most exciting cities: Belfast and Dublin. With our Belfast/Dublin program, you will do more than learn about the complexities of international law and conflict resolution. You will experience its effects firsthand and profoundly understand its impact on two unforgettable cities.
Who Should Apply
The Belfast/Dublin Summer Program is an incredible opportunity for students wishing to spend a summer in beautiful Ireland while earning additional credits. Deans from Queen’s University Belfast, University College Dublin, and Fordham Law School along with other leading faculty will actively participate in the program. It’s a perfect opportunity for 1L’s as well as alumni wanting a fantastic learning experience.
Faculty and Guests
Faculty from Queen’s University Belfast and University College Dublin join Fordham Law faculty in teaching the curriculum.
You will also have the opportunity to meet with political and legal dignitaries from both Ireland and Northern Ireland. Past guests have regularly included several justices of the Supreme Court of Ireland, the Lord Chief Justice of Northern Ireland, the attorneys general of both Ireland and Northern Ireland, the U.S. Consul General to Northern Ireland, the Director of Public Prosecutions, and former first ministers of Northern Ireland David Trimble and Ian Paisley.

Apply and commit to the Program with a $1,000 nonrefundable deposit by February 15, 2023, and the Program will waive the $500 externship placement fee.

Alumni
The Belfast/Dublin Summer Program now offers CLE credit to alumni.
Alumni may attend any of the classes held in either city. The program offers two different courses in 2023: Human Rights and Resolving International Conflict in Northern Ireland and Intellectual Property: A Global Perspective.
CLE credit is offered at $25 for every credit-hour in the classroom. Alumni may attend as many or as few classes as they wish. Classes will meet on each day, except on specified dates.
In addition to classes, alumni are welcome to attend any of the extracurricular events. See program dates.
Space is limited. Note that participants are responsible for arranging their own travel and lodging plans.
