INTERDISCIPLINARY EXTERNSHIPS AND FELLOWSHIPS

LEARN HOW LAWYERS AND SOCIAL WORKERS CAN MAKE CRITICAL DIFFERENCE IN THE LIVES OF AT-RISK FAMILIES AND CHILDREN!

The opportunity for professionals to successfully help clients with domestic violence, poverty and child welfare issues is increased when working collaboratively.   The Interdisciplinary Externships and Fellowships provide students with a unique opportunity to experience collaborative work by sponsoring a number of semester, full year and summer externships and paid fellowships.  Through these opportunities, students:
  • Extern with non-profit organizations that employ laywers and social workers who work collaboratively
  • Work with families and children
  • Explore how lawyers and social workers can work together to better meet client needs and advocate for systemic change
