LETTER FROM THE DEANS

WE ARE PLEASED to present to you this report on the activities of the Interdisciplinary Center for Family and Child Advocacy, detailing the extraordinary progress at the Center.

Fordham University, its Law School, and its Graduate School of Social Service are committed to making a positive impact by providing meaningful service to our community. Our alumni, students, and faculty do significant work on behalf of the most vulnerable client populations. It is our responsibility as educators to train them to complete this work intelligently, passionately, and sensitively. The Interdisciplinary Center is the focal point for much of this work.

The Center is also at the heart of the University's effort to bring the expertise and resources of the academy to bear on the front-line problems in public policy. It connects us as teachers and researchers with the practitioners, advocates, and clients who work in the trenches every day. The Center's vitality comes in equal measure from the contributions of community members and from the investment of Fordham's faculty, students, and staff.

The Interdisciplinary Center for Family and Child Advocacy is an essential manifestiation of the spirit of the School of Law and the Graduate School of Social Services. We are proud to support this Center and thank you in advance for your ongoing commitment to its critical mission.
