Amelia (Amy) Uelmen
Founding Director



Amy Uelmen, the founding director of the Institute on Religion, Law  Lawyer's Work, led the Institute's work from January 2001 through July 2011. She is currently a visiting lecturer at Georgetown University Law Center where she continues to teach seminars in Religious Lawyering and Catholic Social Thought and Economic Justice, and to write on how Catholic social thought might shed light on tort law, legal ethics and legal education, and how principles of dialogue might inform debates about religion in the public square.
