The Law Help Desk will provide a national toll-free telephone service starting May 1, 2011. The new number, 1-800-761-2934, can be used to contact the Law Help Desk from outside the University. The Interactive Voice Response (IVR) will offer direct connection to other Law School service providers such as Telecom, Media Services and even the University Help Desk.
The existing Law Help Desk number 212-636-6786 will continue to operate alongside the IVR until further notice. However, we strongly encourage the community to start using the new IVR 1-800-761-2934 number starting May 1, 2011.
The new IVR will also allow for automatic creation of Law Help Desk work orders if you wish not to speak directly with a Law Help Desk Analyst, or by choosing to leave a message if you are calling during off hours.
Some of the additional features include quality assurance recordings, designed to allow for help desk management to assess the service being provided by our analyst, and a brief survey so that we can measure your satisfaction with the service provided by the Law Help Desk.
