The Fordham Environmental Law Review is an outgrowth of the Fordham Environmental Law Council founded in 1969. The first issue of the Fordham Environmental Law Report was published in 1989 and journal status was awarded in 1993.  Since its inception, the Fordham Environmental Law Review has explored a broad range of domestic and international environmental issues ranging from the regulation of air, water, and soil pollution, to social policy issues such as corporate responsibility and environmental racism.
