John M. Moran '94 Memorial Scholarship


This scholarship was established by the friends of John M. Moran, Law 1994, who died in the attack on the World Trade Center.  While John was studying at Fordham Law, he was also a firefighter and, upon his graduation, he continued rising through the ranks of the FDNY and ultimately became the youngest Battalion Chief in the Department, the position he held at his untimely death on the morning of September 11, 2001.

Eligibility:  Evening student with demonstrated academic ability and financial need. Preference will be given to a NYC firefighter or NYC police officer, or to his or her spouse or children.
