The New York Bar Foundation - Melvyn Mitzner ScholarshipThe New York Bar Foundation is pleased to announce the 2013 Real Property Law Section Melvyn Mitzner Scholarship. The scholarship has been established and funded by the foundation through a gift from the Real Property Law Section of the New York State Bar Association (NYSBA) and from Rosalyn Mirzner to honor the memory of Melvyn Mitzner, a former Chair of the Section. The scholarship is intended for any 2L and 3L student who is also a veteran currently enrolled in a law school in the state of New York during the fall 2013 semester. If attending part-time, the scholarship is open to 2L, 3L and 4L students enrolled in a law school in the state of New York during the fall 2013 semester. In addition, the student must have a achieved a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 and law school and must have attained a ranking in the top quarter of the class. The student will assist the organization with matters relating to intellectual property law. Preference will be given to students who demonstrated financial need. The scholarship will be in the amount of $1,500.
