The New York Bar Foundation - The Honorable Joel K. Asarch Elder Law ScholarshipThe New York Bar Foundation is pleased to announce The 2013 Honorable Joel k. Asarch Elder Law Scholarship which has been established and funded by the foundation through a gift from the Elder Law Section of the New York State Bar Association. The scholarship is intended for all 2L and 3L students currently enrolled in a law school in the state of New York during the 2013-204 academic year. The student must be actively in an Elder Law Clinic of the law school in which they are enrolled during the fall 2013 semester or registered to participate in an Elder Clinic during the spring 2014 semester. In addition, the applicant must have attained a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 in law school. A preference will be given to students who demonstrate a present physical or mental disability that substantially limits the activities of the individual, as well as to those students who demonstrate financial need. The scholarship will be in the amount of $2,500.
