New York Bar Foundation (Elder Law Scholarship)

This Scholarship has been established by the Foundation through a gift from the Elder Law Section of the New York State Bar Association.  The scholarship is intended to all second year (2L) or third year (3L) students enrolled in a law school in the State of New York City during the 2012-2013 academic year. The student must have attained a 2.5 or equivalent GPA in law school. In addition, the applicant must be actively participating in an Elder Law Clinic of the law school in which they are enrolled during the the 2012 fall semester or registered to participate in an Elder Law Clinic during the 2013 spring semester. Preference will be given to those students who demonstrates a present and permanent physical or mental disability or those who can demonstrate financial need.  The fund will  award $2,500 and will be applied towards the student's tuition for the 2012-13 academic year.
