This Scholarship is part of Banner & Witcoff's continuing commitment to fostering the development of intellectual property lawyers from diverse backgrounds. The applicant, must be enrolled in an American Bar Association accredited U.S. law school and pursuing a career in Intellectual Property Law. In addition, the applicant must be an academic merit (undergraduate, graduate and law school) must have an exemplary writing and oral communication skills, leadership qualities, community involvement, and must be a member of an historically under represented group in IP law (including race, sex, ethnicity, sexual orientation, and disability). The fund will award $5,000 payable for the Fall semester of the recipient's second or third year of law school. Awards will be announced in April 2013.
