Nitza Milagros Escalera has served as the Assistant Dean of Student Affairs at Fordham Law since 1994 where her responsibilities include orientation, graduation, academic and personal counseling activities, accommodations for students with disabilities, and advising student organizations. Currently Dean Escalera is teaching a two-credit course at Fordham in Negotiation and Mediation from a cross-cultural perspective. In addition, Dean Escalera serves as an adjunct professor at the John Jay School of Criminal Justice where she teaches a course on Race and Ethnicity with a focus on the Latino and Hispanic experience in the United States. Currently, Dean Escalera is a founder and member of the Board of Directors of Friends of PASOS: A Museum and Center for Peacebuilding, Inc.
