Olivier Sylvain is interested in communications policy and democratic theory. He teaches telecommunications law, Internet law, and administrative law.
Olivier is also a doctoral candidate in the communications program at Columbia University where he is completing research on the early intellectual and political development of federal communications regulation. At Columbia, Olivier taught a course in ethics, political economy, and social theory.

Olivier was a litigation associate in the Washington, D.C. office of Jenner & Block, LLC where he worked on a variety of constitutional law and telecommunications related matters. Before Jenner, Olivier was the Marvin Karpatkin Fellow in the National Legal Office of the American Civil Liberties Union.
