Experience

Alixandra E. Smith is an associate in the New York Office of Jenner & Block.  She is a member of the firm’s White Collar Defense and Investigations Practice.

Prior to joining Jenner & Block, Ms. Smith completed clerkships with the Honorable Julio M. Fuentes, United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, and the Honorable Faith S. Hochberg, United States District Court for the District of New Jersey.  She was also an associate at Cravath, Swaine & Moore, LLP, in New York.

Ms. Smith is admitted to practice in the state of New York, and is a member of the Federal Bar Council Inn of Court.

Education

Ms. Smith graduated magna cum laude from Harvard University in 2002, receiving a Bachelor of Arts in government.  She earned a Juris Doctor from Harvard Law School in 2005, graduating cum laude.  While attending Harvard Law School, Ms. Smith was managing editor of the Harvard Journal on Legislation, served as a research assistant for the Berkman Center on Law & Society and was a board member of Harvard’s chapter of the American Constitution Society.
