Robert Friedman is of counsel to the law firm Katten Muchin Rosenman LLP. He first worked at the firm as a summer associate following his second year at Fordham Law School, became a full time associate following graduation in 1975 and a member of the firm (under its then name, Rosenman & Colin LLP) in February 1984. Mr. Friedman became Of Counsel following the firm's merger with the Chicago based Katten Muchin Zavis in 2002.
Mr. Friedman concentrates his practice in estate and tax planning, estate, gift and generation-skipping transfer taxation and the administration of complex estates and trusts.
Professional Affiliations
Mr. Friedman is a member of The Association of the Bar of the City of New York, the Dutchess County Bar Association and the American Bar Association, where he participates in the Section on Real Property, Probate and Trusts Law. He is admitted to practice in New York State and before the United States District Court in the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York and the Supreme Court of the United States.Mr. Friedman is a member of the Boards of Trustees of the Adirondack Nature Conservancy/Adirondack Land Trust, the Adirondack Landowners Association and the Natural History Museum of the Adirondacks.
