Dispute Resolution Society Wins 3rd Place at ABA Regional Mediation CompetitionMarch 16, 2012
Fordham Law's Dispute Resolution Society took third place at the ABA Mediation Competition in White Plains on March 4, 2012.
The Society was represented by Zachary Green '14, Danielle May '13, Lindsey Olson '13 and Nick Schaefer '13. The team was coached by Oliver Edwards '12.
"I'm tremendously proud of my teams' commitment and performance," said Edwards. "The skill they've demonstrated makes them a tremendous asset to the Dispute Resolution Society, Fordham, and ultimately the New York legal community."
"Our ABA Mediation Team and DRS coaches did a stellar job of preparing and participating in the regional competition. The Fordham team always show the judges and teams from other schools that Professor Nolan-Haley's dispute resolution students are the smartest and the best!" said Professors Deborah Shapiro and Peggy Leibowitz, who helped prepare students throughout the school year.
Team members were supported by Professors Jacqueline Nolan-Haley, Beth Schwartz, Peggy Leibowitz, and Deborah Shapiro. Society Chairperson Kaitlyn Kerrane '12, Managing Editor Amanda Broitman '12 and Competitions Editor Tavish DeAtley '12 provided the team with valuable assistance throughout their preparation.
