Fordham Law School Hosts ACR Chapter of Greater New York Annual Conference During Which ADR Achievement Award Conferred on John Feerick

The ACR Chapter of Greater New York (ACRGNY) held its 2002 Annual Conference titled "ACR in Changing Times: Responding to World Events," on Friday, June 14 at Fordham University School of Law. The keynote speaker was Peter H. Woodin, Esq., Deputy Special Master for the September 11th Victim Compensation Fund. The first ACRGNY "ADR Achievement Award" was conferred on Dean John D. Feerick. During the conference, a presentation was given on the new "Small Business - a Court Assistance Project," which began in Manhattan on June 4, 2002. This new court-sponsored program is intended to provide mediation services to facilitate settlement of landlord/tenants disputes resulting from the events of September 11. A one-hour training workshop was offered at the Conference.
