Fordham students finish as International Semi-finalists at ICC / ABA International Commercial Mediation Competition

January 17, 2006

Fordham students Seth Piken (2L) and Steve Grable (2L) were International Semi-finalists at the ICC / ABA International Commercial Mediation Competition which was held in Paris this past weekend. Piken and Grable, who last year finished as national runners-up in the ABA Representation in Mediation Competition, competed against two foreign schools (Montpelier, McGill) and two domestic schools (Marquette, Washington) en route to the Final Four. The two Fordham Law School Dispute Resolution Society members faced The University of Houston in the first round of the finals and though many thought they were victorious, they were unable to advanced. Either way, Seth and Steve's performance is another impressive achievement for the both the mediation team and the Dispute Resolution Society as a whole.
