Fordham Team Advanced to 24-Team National Competition for 5th Straight YearFebruary 12, 2007
On February 10th & 11th, the Fordham Dispute Resolution Society Negotiation Team of Adrienne Reina (LAW '08) and Andrew Callahan (LAW '08) traveled to Miami, Florida to compete in the National Representation in Negotation Competition. This marked the fifth year in a row in which a Fordham team advanced to the 24-team National Competition. Reina and Callahan won a spot in Nationals after finishing second in the Regional Competition in November.
Fordham's team made an impressive showing at this year's competition, as Reina and Callahan performed exceedingly well and represented Fordham with great distinction. Adrienne and Andrew had an outstanding preliminary round against Hamline Law School. The judges comments from this first round indicated that Adrienne and Andrew's performance was top notch, achieving all of their client's interests and receiving several first place votes. The team's second preliminary round against the University of Montana School of Law presented a difficult opponent. Despite Adrienne and Andrew representing their client's interests with zeal and ultimately obtaining a positive outcome, the team did not advance to the final round.
