Fordham Wins ABA "Representation in Mediation" Regional Competition for Fourth Straight YearMarch 12, 2007
Fordham Law's Dispute Resolution Society took top honors at the ABA's regional "Representation in Mediation" Competition, hosted by Hofstra Law School. Henry Ko (LAW '08) and Miguel Nieves (LAW '08) won both of their preliminary rounds, en route to triumphing over Buffalo Law School in the final round. Kim DiLorenzo (LAW '07), a member of last year's regional champion team, coached Henry and Miguel to Fordham's fifth regional championship in the past six years. As with the Regional Champions from the other nine regions in the country, Henry and Miguel will travel to Washington D.C. later this year for the national rounds on April 25-27.
Fordham fielded a second team: Eileen Patt (LAW '08) and Angela Jin (LAW '08). Despite Eileen and Angela's enthusiasm and preparation, the team fell short of advancing to the final round.
Twelve teams representing six law schools from New York took part in the regional competition.
