ProgramsThe Coalition functions to provide three primary services to the community: Train The Trainer Sessions We provide training for Financial Literacy Educators, and have trained hundreds of educators across the U.S. Our trained educators include community leaders, accountants, lawyers, bankers, financial planners, teachers, and graduate students. Consumer Education We offer Financial Literacy classes for consumers throughout the NYC area and have educated nearly a thousand consumers through our program. Topics include: goal setting and psychology of money; creating spending plans; using credit wisely; understanding credit reports and scoring; identity theft protection; and common consumer scams. Research, Studies and Follow Up We perform academic research and empirical studies of financial management training programs and have published numerous papers on our results. We also follow up with our consumers to monitor their learning and behavior in response to our classes. |
