Consumer Education We offer Financial Literacy classes for consumers throughout the NYC area, usually through libraries, schools and non-profits. The Coalitionwill once again work this summer with the city's Summer Youth Employment Program". Employing "peer instructors" from Capital One's Branch in a School program, the Coalition will reachover 900 students using a game format that made the class not only engaging top the participants, but effective as a teaching tool. Having peer instructors along with our own volunteers resulted in a class that was engaging, informative and a lot of fun. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Research, Studies and Follow Up We perform academic research and empirical studies of financial management training programs and have published numerous papers on our results. We also follow up with our consumers to monitor their learning and behavior in response to our classes.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- We provide training for Financial Literacy Educators, and have trained hundreds of educators across the U.S. Our trained educators include community leaders, accountants, lawyers, bankers, financial planners, teachers, and graduate students.
