APPLY TO THE EXTERNSHIP PROGRAM!

How to Apply to the Externship Program:

1. YOU MUST SECURE a fieldwork placement on your own before submitting an application for course registration. 

• Approval is required if you have previously completed two externships. If this applies to you, e-mail Prof. Kennisha Austin at kaustin4@law.fordham.edu.
  
• The deadline to apply is rolling.
  

2. Fill out the online APPLICATION, and

• E-mail your resume and unofficial transcript to externships@law.fordham.edu.

3.  If we have questions about your application, we will contact you.  Otherwise, you will receive a confirmation e-mail only after we have registered you.

Important Things to Remember:

• YOU ARE NOT PERMITTED to register for an externship seminar or fieldwork course on your own.
  
• We handle registration for you. This process takes time, and we ask applicants to be patient. Holds or time conflicts will delay registration.
  
• If the Externship Program has not previously approved the proposed fieldwork placement, a Supervising Attorney application must be submitted to Prof. Kennisha Austin at kaustin4@law.fordham.edu.
