Public Interest Resource Center

Fordham Law School's mission is to educate attorneys to work "in the service of others." Public service has long been a tradition at Fordham Law School and is expressed today through the activities of nearly 500 Fordham Law students who participate annually in the public service work of the Public Interest Resource Center (PIRC).

PIRC, a winner of the 2008 ABA Pro Bono Publico Award,

houses student-initiated pro bono, public service and community service projects;

helps students chart their public interest path in law school;

introduces students to the broad range of public service practice opportunities and career paths;

provides a variety of career services to students and alumni interested in exploring public interest work as careers or on a pro bono basis.
