Faculty ChairsAt the heart of Fordham Law School—indeed, of any great law school—is our faculty. Because of the excellence of our academic program, Fordham Law competes against the very best law schools in the nation for the most qualified legal scholars.
Endowed chairs give us a competitive edge in faculty recruitment and retention.
In the course of the Campaign, faculty chairs have been established in key scholarship areas. These include international law and human rights; business law; advocacy; urban legal issues; legal ethics, morality, and religion; and real estate, land use, and property law. Additional chairs created during the Campaign are currently supporting faculty leaders in the areas of evidence, intellectual property, and information law.
Fordham Law faculty are leading scholars and dedicated professors. Their scholarship is published in leading law reviews and taught in Fordham classrooms. They maintain the best traditions of Fordham Law's scholar-teachers—collaborating with one another and with students, sharing ideas freely, and fostering open academic discourse that transforms students into the legal leaders of tomorrow.
