Campaign Priorities

New Law School Building

At the core of the Fordham Law campaign is a new law school building designed by Pei Cobb Freed & Partners, one of the preeminent architectural firms in the world. The new building will provide necessary space and needed technologies in an iconic structure that will embody the excellence of Fordham Law.

Annual Fund

During our Centennial year, Fordham Law experienced a dramatic increase in giving to our Annual Fund. The School must keep this momentum going, as these unrestricted funds ensure that Fordham Law can not only continue to provide superb classroom experiences, but also improve student services that are vital in a competitive market.

Scholarships and Fellowships

Fordham Law has always been dedicated to educating extraordinarily gifted and accomplished students. To continue this commitment, the school must increase our scholarship funds to keep pace with the rising costs of a premier legal education. A robust scholarship fund will enable future generations to excel as Fordham lawyers.

To help Fordham Law students transition from graduation to employment, the School offers two programs to help students gain legal experience—our Dean’s Fellows work in our centers and institutes and Bridge Fellows assist public interest/nonprofit organizations, governmental agencies, and judges. Donors can “adopt” a Dean’s Fellow for six months for $13,000 or a Bridge Fellow for three months for $3,000.

Centers & Institutes

Fordham Law School has an impressive list of centers and institutes that conduct essential work and contribute immeasurably to the legal profession and to our global society. Additional funds will allow centers like the Feerick Center for Social Justice and the Leitner Center for International Law and Justice to strengthen already outstanding programs and to undertake important new initiatives.

Faculty Chairs

If Fordham Law is to continue to attract top-flight professors, endowed faculty chairs are critical. Through the generous support of our friends and alumni, the law school has already endowed eight chairs. Chairs require a $2 million contribution. To establish eight new chairs is a great achievement, but Fordham needs additional chairs to realize our academic goals.
