John Wilkinson '65 Named Chair of NYS Bar Association's Dispute Resolution SectionJune 10, 2013
Fordham Law alumnus John H. Wilkinson '65 is the new chair of the 1,596–member Dispute Resolution Section of the New York State Bar Association.
Wilkinson is of counsel to Fulton, Rowe & Hart. He is an arbitrator and mediator resolving complex commercial disputes.
A 24-year member of the State Bar, Wilkinson most recently served as chair-elect of the Dispute Resolution Section. He is a past chair of the section’s Arbitration Committee and a past co-chair of its Mediation Committee.
Wilkinson also serves on the panels of neutrals of the American Arbitration Association, the International Centre for Dispute Resolution, CPR Institute for Conflict Prevention and Resolution (National and International Panels of Distinguished Neutrals), Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre, and Kuala Lumpur Regional Centre for Arbitration.
Wilkinson is a frequent speaker on arbitration and mediation to professional and bar organizations, corporate legal departments, and law school classes, as well as to groups such as the legal department of the Navy.
The 76,000-member New York State Bar Association is the largest voluntary state bar association in the nation. It was founded in 1876.
