A Fond Arrivederci to the Dean

Fordham Law Dean Michael M. Martin embarked on a tour of four European cities to meet with alumni and enhance the School’s presence on the continent. The visit kicked off March 12 in England, where alumni enjoyed a lunch with the Dean hosted by Peter John Sacripanti PCS ’82 at the London office of McDermott Will & Emery.

Rome was the next stop. On March 16 Dean Martin and 18 alumni, as well as admitted LL.M. and S.J.D. students, enjoyed a tour of the Palazzo Patrizi’s Pinacoteca del Tesoriere followed by dinner at Casa Coppelle. Alumni were encouraged to become members of the Fordham Law European Alumni Chapter.

On March 17 a farewell dinner for the Dean was held in Milan. Among the alumni in attendance were Pierantonio Musso ‘10 and Maria Francesca Ferrari ‘10, who, after meeting in Fordham Law’s LL.M. program, got engaged and are now married and expecting their first child, a daughter. Franci and Pierantonio are Co-Presidents of the Milan chapter of the Fordham Law Alumni Association.

Two days later, the Fordham Law contingent traveled to Padua, where Dean Martin gave a lecture at the University of Padua with Professor Maurizio Bianchini.
