Alumni Connect: The Online Directory has launched!
On December 2nd, Fordham Law and the Fordham Law Alumni Association launched Alumni Connect, an online directory and community that allows you to establish networking contact with other Fordham Law graduates, search for classmates by practice area, graduation year or geographical region, and reconnect with Law School friends. You can also review and update your personal contact information quickly!
Alumni Connect is web based and password protected, so you are able to log in securely from any device with Internet access. Log on to law.fordham.edu/alumniconnect to claim your account. All alumni should have received an ID and temporary password for Alumni Connect in early December. If you did not receive this email please contact Emma Angevine Narvaez.
Please save the date for the 63rd Annual Fordham Law Alumni Luncheon on March 3, 2012 . The Luncheon will be held at Cipriani Wall Street at 12 noon. We hope you will be able to join us for this once a year event when the entire Law School community comes together to celebrate our common affection for, and devotion to, Fordham Law School.

Fordham Law's Corporate Law Center is excited to announce its schedule of programs for Spring2011. To view a full list of all the events offered, please click here.
Created in 2001, the Center convenes public lectures, roundtable discussions, expert panels, and academic symposia on topics of current interest in business and financial law. The Center also serves as a platform to showcase the business law scholarship of Fordham faculty and research affiliates in a wide variety of financial sub-specialties.

Lawyers In Transition35th Annual Public Interest Legal Career Fair
Interested in employment in the public service sector? Participate in the 35th Annual Public Interest Legal Career Fair (PILC Fair), co-sponsored by Fordham Law and held at New York University School of Law on Thursday, February 9 and Friday, February 10, 2012.
The PILC Fair is the nation's largest public interest legal career fair and gives alumni an opportunity to talk with public service employers (non-profit organizations and government agencies) at information tables. Last year, representatives from 200 organizations attended the Fair.
Register here. Click on Students and then PILC Fair Student Registration-and then check "graduate" in "status" box. For Student ID just enter your last name and first initial. No fee to register or attend. You must register to attend but, you are under no obligation to attend once registered. Deadline to register is February 8, 2012 at 3 p.m.

FLS has an active and successful Clerkship Program. Alumni who are interested in pursuing clerkships now or in the future should email Professor Capra at email@example.com and include their court and geographic preferences and attach their resume. Interested alumni are also encouraged to visit the CPC Website, J.D. Alumni page selecting the Post-Graduate Clerkship link to access a multitude of clerkship related resources.
Class NotesJohn D. Feerick '61, former dean and current professor at Fordham Law, has been selected by District Court Judge John Keenan ’54 to negotiate a Fosamax lawsuit settlement on behalf of nearly 1,000 plaintiff seeking compensation from drugmaker Merck & Co. Feerick’s appointment as special master has the approval of the plaintiffs’ steering committee and Merck. To read more, click here.
Tom Clarke '71 has been named a Master of the Courts in the Inns of Court of Monmouth County, New Jersey. He will be working with and teaching young and newly admitted attorneys practical and necessary skills of "lawyering” along with an experienced team of other masters. The Inn is named for The Hon. Haydon Proctor, a distinguished attorney who was a legendary jurist.
Jason Eyster '78 will run the Thomas M. Cooley Immigrant Civil Advocacy Clinic, a new law clinic benefiting students and clients in western Washtenaw County, Michigan. Eyster served from 2005 to 2011 as director of the Asylum and Immigrant Rights Clinic at Ave Maria Law School in Ann Arbor, Michigan and Naples, Florida. To read more, click here.
Arthur M. Neiss '85 has become Counsel to the law firm Beattie Padovano, located in Montvale, New Jersey.
Lisa S. Lim '90 has joined the Empire State Development Corp. as a Senior Counsel. Lim previously worked for the New York City Housing Authority's Law Department.
Eric Grossman '93 has been named Chief Legal Officer of Morgan Stanley. Grossman previously served as Morgan Stanley’s Global Head of Litigation and General Counsel of the Americas
John Shields '93 has joined Devitt Spellman Barrett, LLP located in Smithtown, New York.
Thomas A. Capezza '93, an assistant U.S. attorney who has specialized in prosecution of mortgage and securities fraud violations, is leaving the Justice Department to become chief counsel for the New York State Police. Capezza has worked for the Justice Department's Albany office since 2003. He served as a forfeiture coordinator while also prosecuting numerous white-collar crime cases. To read more, click here.
James P. McCann '98 has been named partner at the Palo Alto, California-based firm Wilson Sonsini & Rosati. McCann specializes in Real Estate & Environmental law. McCann focuses on acquisition, development, financing, and leasing of office, industrial, biotech, and mixed-use property. To read more, click here.

Joshua Y. Milgrim '03 has been named partner at Dechert LLP. Milgrim is a member of the International and Domestic Tax practice in New York and focuses his practice on the international and domestic tax aspects of public and private mergers and acquisitions, business structuring and financing transactions.
Jason Pressman '03 has joined the firm of Mackevich, Burke, and Stanicki as an associate in Clark, NJ. Pressman practices commercial litigation.
Wanda Sanchez Day '03 and the firm Ali & Bains, P.C. were named “Law Firm of the Year" on Dec. 4, 2011 by Colombia, USA, a civil organization composed of latino professionals.

Megan Hogan '06 and Curtis Hogan welcomed their first child, Jackson Aidan Hogan, on June 11, 2011. Hogan is a litigation associate at Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP.
Julia Klein '06 has joined Murtha Cullina LLP as an associate in the Stamford firm's business and finance department, working primarily in that department's real estate practice group. Prior to joining the firm, Klein represented investment banks and asset managers and also has experience working with private fund and pooled investment vehicle products, including hedge funds, private equity funds and funds of funds, as well as debt and equity private placements. Ryan M. Burns '08 has joined Robinson & Cole LLP as an associate. Burns joins the Construction Practice Group, concentrating his practice in construction law, commercial litigation, and surety and fidelity law.
Meghan Spillane '08 and Kevin Roche '09 were married in October 15, 2011 in Red Hook, Brooklyn.
Captain James Creedon '09 successfully completed and graduated from the prestigious and coveted United States Army Ranger School. Captain Creedon is presently a JAG officer stationed in Ft. Benning, Georgia, and as a graduate of the Ranger school;
Robert A. Rich '09, a bankruptcy lawyer at Hunton & Williams LLP, coauthored the article “Silence as Deemed Consent to Voluntary Third-Party Releases in a Chapter 11 Plan”; one of the feature articles in American Bankruptcy Institute’s newly published Best of ABI 2011: The Year in Business Bankruptcy.
