FLAA Strategic Planning Focus Groups The Fordham Law Alumni Association (FLAA) is currently engaged in a strategic planning initiative that will chart the course of the FLAA for the next five years. The goals and objectives that emerge from this process will enable the Law School and its alumni to strengthen the School through better programming and increased opportunities for alumni to interact with the faculty, students, and fellow alumni. McLaughlin Professor of Law, following the retirement of ProfessorMaria Marcus. Katyal joined Fordham Law in 2002 after working as an associate specializing in intellectual property litigation in the San Francisco office of Covington & Burling. William Schuber ’72, former Bergen County Executive, was welcomed as the newest member of the Port Authority Board of Commissioners, after having been nominated to the post by Governor Chris Christie in April 2011. Mitrione ’75 received the Northern Palm Beach County Chamber of Commerce’s first ever “Award of Visionary Leadership” at the Chamber’s recent 2011 Leadership Awards Dinner at the PGA National Resort & Spa. The event recognized Mitrione and five other business and community leaders for their devotion to the Northern Palm Beach County community. Peter J. Fitzpatrick ’84 has joined K&L Gates as a corporate partner. Fitzpatrick was previously a partner at Arent Fox. Bradley Butwin ’85 has been selected as O’Melveny & Myers’ new chair.
