Fordham Law 19th in NLJ "Go-To Law Schools" ReportFebruary 25, 2013
The National Law Journal, in its annual special report on the top 50 "Go-To Law Schools" for NLJ 250 firms, ranked Fordham Law #19 in first-year associate hiring for 2012. In the NLJ's previous report on 2011 hiring, the School was ranked 20th. The new report also cited Fordham Law among schools that have a “Go-To” ranking that outperforms the school's U.S. News ranking.
In addition, Fordham Law was:
- ranked #14 for number of associates promoted to partner in 2012
- ranked #19 for tuition costs
- listed as a Firm Favorite for Greenberg Taurig
The NLJ’s methodology relies on a survey of the nation’s largest 250 firms. The publication explains, “For firms that did not submit new associate numbers, we relied on data from ALM Media's RivalEdge database and independent reporting. We determined rankings by the percentage of 2012 juries doctor graduates who took associate jobs at NLJ 250 firms. In all, we have data from 248 firms covering 4,429 graduates. The two missing firms are Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison and King & Spalding. The rankings do not reflect law graduates who took clerkships following graduation.”
